The beauty of Tam Giang Lagoon

Contrary to the ancient and contemplative beauty of Hue, Tam Giang lagoon brought in a wild, peaceful, windy and sunny beauty.

With a length of about 24km, originating from the mouth of the O Lau River, harmony with the gentle Huong River before pouring into Thuan An estuary, Tam Giang is one of the largest lakes in Southeast Asia. Here, there are many storks, bitterns, geese, white-watered ducks, painting poetic scenes that are very lively. You can go down the stream on a small boat, drop your soul in the midst of the natural scene to feel a scenery that has gone into poetry, music, paintings.

Coming to Tam Giang, you will admire the vivid beauty of the immense lagoon in the dawn or in the evening when the last rays of the daylight gradually sink into the shimmering water. The colorful nature has made Tam Giang lagoon become the Best destination in Vietnam.

The beautiful Tam Giang lagoon is at sunset, the water is golden. The horizon stretches. The shrimp farms on the lagoon with different shapes attract travelers. In the gloomy view of a rainy afternoon, Tam Giang lagoon still shows the wild beauty, The last sunrays of a day suddenly flash, pass through the vast and quiet space.

The lagoon is most beautiful when it is “wearing” the afternoon light as hugging the sky with purple clouds deep into the water. It would be great if you sit on small boats floating on the water and immerse yourself in the sky.

At the beginning of the wharf is a bustling market in the afternoon when the fishing boat returns; shrimp, fish, fresh squid will be moved to the market and then sold around the area.

Most of the people live in aquaculture. The night is also bustling when they take a boat out to the lagoon, spread the net to catch fish then these fish are brought to market in the morning. The people here are gentle and very hospitable. They will invite you to visit the river at night and enjoy specialty here.

It will be a fun experience if you get a good night’s sleep on this lagoon, feel the fresh air and enjoy the natural products.
