Lying towards the northeastern region of Vietnam, Quang Ninh is not only the land for economic development but also the potential land for tourism with many tourist attractions such as Halong bay, Bai Tu Long Bay… Together with Hai Phong on the south, and Lang Son on the west, Quang Ninh shares about 170 kilometers of the borderline with China.
Having about 250 kilometers length of coastline, Quang Ninh attracts tourists by a number of beautiful beaches for instance: Bai Chay, Titop, Minh Chau, Quan Lan, Ngoc Vung, Tra Co, etc. Besides to these beautiful beaches, there are many other destinations like Halong bay– the new natural wonder of the world.
In addition to tourism attraction, the province also has a large source of coal, which has brought about the great economic benefit to the province. Additionally, Quang Ninh also has many ecosystems of coral reefs, tropical forests, water flooded forests featuring thousands of species.
This area is also rich in cultural as well as historical values among different ethnic groups: Kinh, Dao, Tay, San Diu, San Chay, Hoa. Apart from those cultural features, Quang Ninh is the land of several historical and cultural sites such as Yen Tu Pagoda, Cua Ong temple, Bach Dang River, etc.
Traveling to Quang Ninh, visitors can choose among various beauty spots within the area: taking a cruise on Halong Bay, resting on charming beaches and islands, or paying a visit to some pagodas and temples…
To discover the province, from Hanoi, you can take a bus at My Dinh station or Giap Bat station. It takes you about 3 hours to travel to this province. Along the roadsides, you can take the chance to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful scenery of the Red River Delta.
